Headed for the Outer Banks of North Carolina and got a beachfront motel room at a nice off season rate.

They were already cleaning the grills as it was about 12:30pm.... |

...and they load up the smoker at 2 or 3am |

North Carolina Barbecue....chopped smoked pork usually mixed with vinegar |

Served with fries, slaw and cornbread |

Kept on going towards the Outer Banks |
