Lot's to do in small Savannah

Small but interesting place this Savannah.  We enjoyed that our Pensionne was on the far side of the Historic district so we could do a lot of walking to get downtown.

But you also have to drive around to explore all the corners of town.

Were looking for a barbecue joint I had mapped out.  A freight train got in our way so we tried Randy's instead

These look great but are just ok ribs

There's Randy

t

The train had passed so we ate beside the tracks

That's mustard sauce and was pretty good

Our picnic table....functional and super clean

After the ribs we went for another Southern specialty.....boiled seafood...

Mimi's still hungry...she had the small ribs...

Found a park to have our snack

Nice and spicy

I have to go fast or there won't be any left

Is it my turn now??

Delicious...shells and all....

For a snack....

....boiled fresh green peanuts

Mimi loves nuts

He doesn't realize he is talking to a Filipino peanut expert

Next off to Tybee Island to check out the beach scene

It was cloudy....only one bikini to be found ;)

Mimi is blown away by my photography skills

Back at the Pensionne...and it is beer o'clock....

We head out to find a local bar....

...which is not always easy in a tourist town and in the touristy area....

You have to keep looking....

But they are always somewhere ;)

Found the local gay bar allright....!

It's midnight snack time and what could be better than another pizza at Vinnie's

A few more pics of this beautiful town on the walk back

Mostly deserted near our place but appears pretty safe as quite a few single girls were walking around......
